Right so I've owned the car for a while now and been waiting for near on 6 months to go offshore so I get a good amount of time to write this all!

So I had this at the time..

Which after a lot of time, effort and sourcing the cupra bumpers, I made into this...

So towards the end of November, after owning the diesel one for just over a year.. I decided it was time to come away from the diesel as its just didn't excite me as much as my previous petrols had! So after deep consideration and lots of looking I found this gem..

Stage 2 2007 Mk4 Ibiza Cupra

So it came with all of the standard cupra extras (Seat Sport brakes, Bumpers, Wheels etc) plus the bits to make it capable of the 220bhp!

So heres a list of bits it had done before I owned it:

Engine:

Milltek Decat Downpipe
Milltek Resonated Cat Back (Oval Tip)
Neuspeed Intake Filter
SeatSport Front Mounted Intercooler
Forge Silicone Turbo Intake Hose (Black)
Forge Silicone Intercooler Pipe Kit ~ 5 Hoses (Black)
Forge Intercooler Inlet Section With MAF Sensor (Polished)
Forge 008 Dump Valve ~ Yellow Spring (Comes with All Springs)
ECS ‘Red Top’ Uprated Coil Packs
Forge Secondary Air Intake Blank Plate
SAI Removed And Resistors Installed ~ SAI Is A Common Fault On This Engine
APR Stage 2 Software – 219Bhp
FK Hubcentric Wheel Spacers - 15mm Front (30mm Track Widening) – 20mm Rear (40mm Track Widening)
Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid

Interior:

STRI Motosport Gauges (Black Faces With Red LED To Match Dash Illumination) - Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Boost
STRI Motorsport 5xLED Shift Light And Control Box

Picture on the way back from picking it up

So the following day after picking it up it was straight down the local tyre shop to have 2 new proxies fitted to the front, and a pair of avons i had at home from the previous Ibiza. Then straight back home for a full snowfoam, wash, polish and wax! Including Taking the bumper off and scrubbing the intercooler! Whilst the bumper was off a mate popped over with some FR upper grilles so they were fitted!

So a few weeks past and the parts started to pile up so first of all was to fit new discs, pads, slider pins, vibration plates and bleed the brakes through, as it felt the brakes were warped. Also serviced it fully, and changed the gearbox oil at the same time.

Whilst i replaced the pads i noticed they wernt moving to freely, so after trying to clean them up as well as i could it would just have to be a try and see operation! Few days later i noticed the pressure gauge for the oil was on the blink, so after replacing the sender unit she was all good again!

So after the Christmas period had passed, me and a friend went on a 300 mile trip to a meet just outside Essex, and on the way back i noticed the brakes were starting to vibrate again like before the new discs were put on! The car hadn't been driven hard at any point either! so all i could think is the callipers were the problem, down to the small shims that hold the pads in position! So after a lot of shopping about and looking at prices of ksports and seeing if a set of Porsche Cayenne 6 pots would fit (I know, going to the extreme abit!) i decided the best thing i could do is keep the original seat sport Callipers and send them for a refurb!

whilst they were away i sent the wheels over to a mate to be refurbed and painted gloss black, fitted brand new wishbones, track rod ends, drop links, aswell as New Apex 35mm Lowering Springs and braided lines all round! Also Changed the center section to a non resonated one to make it sound that little bit sweeter ;) Whilst the Exhaust was off i cleaned it up!

The Result..

So after 6 long weeks of relying on the missus, my mates and my mum to run me around, the calipers returned and looked amazing! So they were fitted along with new pads and discs and bled through with Dot 5 fluid!

Then to collect the wheels! so borrowed the works van for the night, with a duvet in the back and collected the wheels and had the tyres put on them! The finish on them is stunning! they are most probably the glossiest wheels i have ever seen! ]

The end result..

So after a fair few coats of wax they were put on the car..

So for now that is how she stands, until I get home! Future plans are as follows..

Wrap the roof in gloss black,
Paint the front grilles gloss black
Tint the rear windows with a medium smoke tint
Rear anti roll bar
Coilovers

Engine plan is to aim for around 300bhp:
Hybrid k03s
LCR injectors
LCR MAF
Forged Rods
ARP Bolts
Intake Spacer
Relentless manifold (unsure if it fits the K03s so more research needed)

So last week I ordered a Powerflex Lower engine mount bush and a Whiteline RARB from awesome! They informed me though that it could be another week or 2 before they receive the RARB from whiteline so for the mean time I shall just have to sit and wait!

So I came home to a good box of goodies!

So first of all after returning home was to wash it, so it had a full detail.. Snowfoam, 2 bucket wash, polish and wax!

So the following Monday I got to work! The Front bumper came off as I wanted to clean the intercooler up and carry on the honeycomb so that you could see through it all the way along! Best mod I have done I personally recon! Definitely recommended!

Really happy with the result!

Then it was on to fitting the new bits and giving her a full service! Every filter got changed (including pollen and Fuel!)

Whiteline RARB

Then i noticed this..

a cracked oil breather off the top of the filter housing! Apparently its a common problem?? But it got replaced and all the breather lines checked and cleaned out!

On the Saturday it went on the rollers, i was expecting around the 219bhp mark as i had a dyno print out with this on from when it was mapped for! But it had a few bits done to it since then so was happy with the outcome!

The car pulled strong and gave good readings with the boost and emmissions and was told she was a healthy engine which is always good!

Next up is to hopefully fit the mounts before the end of this week, Windows are being tinted this afternoon and hopefully a rocker cover and inlet manifold should be turning up in the next few days to be powdercoated to smarten up the engine bay!

So a lot has gone on since I was last on here!

Fitted the vibratechnics mounts, which has improved the handling, and the response a million! I never thought something would make the car feel as different as it does! Deffinately would recommend!

once they were fitted I gave the engine bay a tart up with a new Ramair filter, some more silicone piping and a lick of paint! Looks a lot fresher now!

That's all for now, Modified nationals this weekend so maybe a few more shots of it there! For the mean time heres a few of it and my mates R26 Megane late one night at work!

So its been a few months since I have uploaded on here and quite abit has gone on!

Managed to get hold of a set of TT comps super cheap! so gave them a go but after weeks and weeks of uming and are'ing I decided they wernt the wheels for me! so sold them on doubling my money!

Few pics of them on the car:

Then browsing through ebay one night a set of OEM projector lights came up, so messaged the seller straight away and bought them there and then! Few days later they turned up and went straight on the car!

They change the appearance of the car dramatically look so more modern!

So with them fitted it was time to get the bumpers painted to have the "Wide mouth" look! So me and a mate got them off and painted over the course of a week!

At the same time we also fitted the Triple R splitter!

Really happy at how it looked at this point so kinda calmed down whilst I started saving for the engine build! Which lasted all of a forknight as a set of Rosten Forged Rods came up so I ordered them! Then I ended up ordering a xpower KO3 Manifold, 3inch MAF, 4 Bar fuel pressure regulator, KS Rings, KS bottom end shells, ARP Head Stud conversion kit.

Then it calmed down again for a month or 2 whilst I took the car to shows! Managed to source a 3 inch downpipe from one of my mates at the meet which needed a new flexi so ended up ordering a new one, and bought a set of rainbow component speakers to replace the Quality standard speakers :L

September started and a set of injectors came up so I bought them and all of the rest of the bits I need for the engine build, Head gasket, Inlet manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gasket, turbo to manifold gasket, sump gasket maker, oil pick up pipe, valve stem seals, turbo oil feed and return pipe gaskets from Dave at sere! (superb service and a genuine guy!) Ordered a Gates Kevlar Cambelt from Awesome Gti, and picked up the antifreeze from my local VW! Spoke to OILMAN on here from Opie and ordered the oil and filters! Superb bloke! would recommend him to anyone! Ordered it on a Monday and turned up the Wednesday! Have 10w40 Mineral oil to run in the first 30 miles, then an oil change. Then change it again at 250 miles and then on to Nano drive 10w50 at 500 miles!

so now I have all the bits I booked it in with a mate to get it all fitted, the last week of September. Might get him to fit an oil pump whilst he is there. So that's it now until the engine is built.. well.. ;)
