Multitronic part of DSG?

Friends,

I am considering coming back to a 2011 altea with an autobox.

The seller is saying that it has a new multitronic unit (which as per every reference on the Web is a cvt box) but insists is a DSG 7 speed auto box.

Can anyone clarify a bit if there is such a mix of terms?

I am confident once I test drive it I will be able to tell but I am not a fan of the cvt...

Any tips welcome

I think they are mixing up MECHAtronic with MULTItronic.

Mechatronic is control module for DSG gearbox, Multitronic is an Audi CVT gearbox.
