Does anyone know diffrence between 2.0 gti and a cupra gti

in basic terms less spec usually on the cupra sports to a gti but ya wont miss much

the odd 1/2 leather seats/aircon/sunroof mainly as well as the usual 1.8/2.0/8v/16v on top

In essence the cupra is a ''suposedly lighweight'' GTI

Gti's had A/C, sunroof and big meaty Recaro seats

Cupra's had half leather and no AC or sunroof.

However as SEAT stuck whatever badges they had handy on you can get GTi's with leather and AC

'cup' is just a shortened 'cupra'. I had the same - "Is it a gti cup sp, sir?"

In insurance terms

8v's are GTI CUPRA SP usually
16v's are 16v GTi or CUPRA SPORT usually

SEAT really did do their best to confuse everyone going with the MK2's, ol pedro suddenly got all this decent VW gear chucked at him and he got a bit excited and carried away.
