Head lights wont switch off

Hi,

The head lights of my mates seat cordoba wont switch off, it is an M reg one. They switch off when the engine is off, but as soon as you start the engine they are on.

Could be a dicky light switch

I wondered if it was an earth, I dont know these cars at all and wondered if it was a common problem perhaps, I guess we could try testing the switch, should be fairly easy, is the swtich easy to take out?
