Hi there, I've been having trouble with my Cupra recently. Out of no where the throttle just vanished, no response whatsoever.
TBS, APS, LAMBDA SENSORS
- I looked under the car and saw 02 sensor wiring dangling down and it appeared as if it had been ripped apart.
- I have replaced the throttle body and the accelerator pedal, however, still nothing.
- A re-learn was also done on the throttle body but still nothing.
- I'm going to replace the 02 sensors tomorrow to see if that remedies the issue but I very much doubt it.
- After the 02 sensors, maybe another diagnosis, see if it throws anymore codes + another relearn/calibration/adaption.
ECU
- Pulled ECU out to look for any visible burning or anything, was clean and looked fine.
- Car runs perfectly fine, no issues. Everything is operational, would it be the ECU internally?
DIAGNOSIS
I have had it diagnosed and the error codes are the following:
- EPC light and traction control light permanently on
- P1297 - Throttle valve pressure drop
- P1631 - Accelerator pedal position sensor: signal too high
- P1634 - Accelerator pedal position sensor 2: signal too high
