Headlight flasher with low beam

Hi, is there a solution when using the headlights flasher the low beam light up as well? The car is with FULL LED and when use the flash give a car or people right to move in front of me - they simply don't see the high beam light when up ...

That was one of my first complaints with the car - the high beams in the center of the cluster take 1-2 seconds to fully ramp up to full brightness, it's not an "instant flash" like literally every other car with LED headlights.

The best workaround for it is to code "Fog Lights with High Beams" using OBD11. https://forum.obdeleven.com/thread/13831/seat-leon-activate-light-flash

Exactly, and the fogs do come on instantly.

This is unlawful. Keep your fog lights just for fog. Low positioned lights tend to glare, esp in rain.
Being flashed is a pain in the eye at all times and a dimmer flash will still be seen because that's how eyes work.
Chances are people who ignore a dimmer flash will also ignore a brighter flash.

Flash lights only from behind and only if you're after someone to move out the way, dual carriageway or motorway for example.

Don't flash to give permission to move into your path, that's the opposite of the message flashing lights are supposed to convey.
Raise a hand to say thanks or nod your head, don't flash.

In a sunny day with direct light on the front window nobody will see your hand. At night - the same. A lot other cars have their flasher with L/H beams on. The question here is how to do but not should we or not.
For sure fog lights I don't find appropriate and won't activate them with flasher. Hopefully OBD11 team will find a way to do.

I have to say it depends. If you are in the limit and so ody flash you because he is coming over the limit it is his job wait you. If you are on the highway with 120km/h and somebody decides a move with 80km/h in left lane ... that is dangerous and I always remind them. But if someone do this I am not sure he will think about why I am flashing.
Anyway, flasher is there in any vehicle, there is a reason to be there. But it is a good those you flash to note you are flashing.

Not it's not trolling, that's how's it's done.

You don't do it when your on someone's tail, you do it so they have plenty of time. To move if they can.
You signalling to them you are there likely approaching on dual carriageways or motorways when you want them to move over for example.
You'll find it referenced in the highway code or the advanced drivers manual.

You won't be flashing someone approaching you in the opposite direction will you?

It's there to flash high beam to announce your presence. That's it.
Not to communicate displeasure etc.

If the car following is driving in excess of the speed limit, you are doing 70 let's say and you get flashed, move over if you can.
It's not the role of us civies to impede the approaching car, that's likely dangerous and even if you do so all the driver behind will do is get frustrated.
If you're approaching a slower car sub speed limit you'd expect the vehicle to move over and a headlamp flash will draw attention to you and make that more likely.

It may be that the lights are supposed to flash at less than full brightness.
Does this happen if you have dipped beam on and then flash the headlights?

The thread is for the possibility of a higher visibility. It is not about when, how and if these should be used. Other cars flash with L/H beams. Can this one or not?

It does flash, just not as bright as the OP and others would like. Perhaps it's deliberate.

Which was:
a) Off topic and
b) Ranting about "misuse of fogs" when you immediately start saying the only time high beams should be used is to let someone (who you're likely 2 foot behind) know that they're driving too slow to suit your style.

If you look at the highway code, the only official use of the high beams is to make someone aware of your presence. Flashing the high beams in a Leon doesn't really do that as they take so long to ramp up to full brightness (instead of being an instant flash). Coding the fog lights to flash at the same time as the high beams helps get around this problem. Also worth noting that there's NOTHING to say that you can't have all your lights on at the same time as the high beams, as even highs alone will dazzle the oncoming cars, especially at night.

Soo i finaly got a obd11 and try to code it. It said On and the activation Success but when i blink fogs dont come up.
Help?

Turn ignition off and back on. It should work after that. Make sure your bonnet is open when you code it too.
