Matt's MK2 FR - Lowered / New alloys

Been on here for a year or so thought it was about time that I put up a RR!

Bought my Leon around the start of July 2012 with 17,000 miles on the clock.
Fell in Love when I seen it at Seat:

Car was kept standard for a few months then bought a LineaR grill:

Then next up was an Arm rest. Dont see why they didnt come standard! Makes such a difference!

Installed my Kenwood KVT526 that I had in my clio:

Then got myself some Heko wind-deflectors off ebay:

Few months passed and the car stayed like this, then heard about the RNS510. Looked so much nicer so went ahead and bought myself a Genuine Seat RNS510:

RNS is such a great upgrade, makes the interior seem much less tacky. Simple Plug&Play.

I decided for a short while I wanted to change my car so sold all my toys I had bought and put the car back to standard..

So went back to this:

I then realised how much I was going to loose if I was to sell my car & decided against it. So moding started again ..

Only thing I had left upgrade wise was the Arm-rest.

Went to see Dave@Sere motors and picked up a Cupra Grill (Gloss Black)
From this:

To this:

Spotted some Cupra wing mirror covers on ebay, snapped them up!

After using the standard head unit for a while I thought it was time to invest in a new one, Spotted this on ebay and messages the guy selling it, happened to be from Antrim so worked out a deal and went and collected it this-morning.

I went for the VW RNS this time as to the Seat version.
VW version has an SD card slot were as the Seat version doesn't.

How my car sits now:

Miles slowly creeping up:

Sitting in work carpark.

Got the RNS fitted but havnt managed to change the boot-up logo yet - still says VW..
On another note all my steering controls are working were as they didnt on the Seat version

Little instagram pic:

Ok, so tried to change the VW logo on the RNS and got the 'white screen of death'.
I sent it away to be fixed but didnt have any luck, ended up selling RNS for spares

Before:

After:

(Cant see much 'ultra blue' going on but suppose thats because its daytime haha.)

Light difference:

So in the Spirit of the whole Gloss Black / Blue colour scheme I done this:

Before:

After:

Then got the new side lights in - Pretty crap picture but you get the idea:

Picked up a set of Leon Cupra alloy pedals, very happy with them .
Before:

After:

Good picture (old guys my dad not me):

My BRAND NEW pedals arrived , fitted 15mins after arrival.
Same pedals only ones brand-new, others second hand:

And the finished product:

Old pedal vs new:
Old:

New:

New unit arrived, so nice to have a decent headunit!

Finished product:

Small update:

Changed the Gator, old one was getting cracked and looked tacky:
Took about 7hours in total to change the flipping thing, nightmare!
Old:

New:

Not a mod as such but replaced my key as it was bent & didnt close properly.

Finished:

Not the most exciting update.
Dropped her off to Seat for a Service, Heres to hoping it comes back in one piece!
Quick picture:

Seen some guys one Seatcupra.net removing the "LEON" badge at the back, thought it looked pretty good so gave it a go.
Before:

After:

Gave her a good clean today, done the interior with Autoglym Interior Shampoo:

Before:

After:

Seats Before:

After:

Update:
Bought myself a facelift climate control, along with RNS facia and clock dial cover:

New vs old:

Clock dial cover:

Got everything put back together.

Before & After
Before:

After:

Like how it ties in with the Black RNS, well pleased. After playing about with it I found out it does something that the old one
doesn't:

When you change the temperature ect it shows on the RNS:

C&C welcome

Looks awesome, easily the best pre-facelift I've ever seen

You considered retro-fitting the Highline computer? Did that to mine last month to finish of my interior mods, makes quite a difference - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/show...76&postcount=8

Thanks dude , tbh I never even thought about it, looks really well though. Did you have to buy a whole new set of clocks? How you get them coded to the mileage you had? Wouldn't mind facelift FR clocks!

It really improved the seats but could do with another going over, used almost a full bottle on the front seats/door cards, not 100% happy if I'm honest but a second go over should fix it

Yeah she's crying out to be lowered but I'm buying these alloys I've found first. Probably won't fit the alloys until after Christmas. Any idea how much I should lower it?
And thanks

Keep toying with the idea of stage 1 but it's fairly big bucks which I don't really have at the moment so I'm going to continue on the little inexpensive mods route I think, maybe some sill plates next

£600 for stage 1 at APR and Revo that's a feck load of cash that I don't have just to make an already quick car a little bit quicker.

Luckily the wife is quite understanding when I buy things for the car, might go for an induction kit next if funds allow

Mines sat on eibach springs and to be honest the ride height is absolutely perfect

I think there's 2 different types of eibach springs.... I have the eibach sport lines

Here's how mine sits-

That looks perfect! How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking. I assume your tyres are 225/40's?
