Don't know if this will affect prices but What Car have chosen the Leon as their Used Car of the Year for 2018
Basically you'll get a bargain if you buy one a couple of years old, and lose a load of cash if you buy new

Bought mine at 3 years old. £28k brand new fully specced up, I paid £13.5k!
48% of new price is actually quite good at 3 years old considering it had 5k of options
I don't usually pay much attention to such articles but there's been a few in the media recently singing the Leons praises as a used purchase.
The Daily Record (scottish tabloid) had a one a few weeks back. It was brought to my attention when I was round visiting the parents. My dad (cynical Ford owner) pipes up "it say's here your car is quite good"
Me - "yeah, that's why i bought it"
Dad - "says here 1.6 diesel with 110bhp - must be nippy"
Me - "mines is the 2l with 180"
