Yesterday I bought my self a Cupra R 225.... Finally! It's got full SEAT service history, cambelt and water pump were done at 63500 and she's just clocked over 64000. All old MOT and tax documents, with a folder full of old reciepts for things like exhaust, and discs and pads all genuine vw parts. The paint work isn't the best, the front looks like magic black with all the stone chips and the back looks more like ebony black! (It's ebony black I believe) I think £500 on paint and it'll be perfect, it needs both bumpers and bonnet respraying and a few odd scratches sorting out.
Here is my old FR tdi and my new 225 on the way home from Bradford.
Here she is after a little turtle wax black to cover some chips for now.
There are a few areas that need some tlc, she needs a new splitter, wheels and the brakes front and back need a refurb.
The interior is mint! Minus a little wheel and gearknob wear which I'll sort out this weekend, not a single bit of bolster wear on the drivers seat!
Let the modding start

Ill get a forge pipe in black to the bmc cda, which will match the other pipes I will purchase.
I'm going away again for a 3 month holiday next week, but I plan on getting the new splitter on, possibly a 007p, refurb the brembos order new number plates and get an aero rear wiper arm.
The future will bring a badger5 tip, forge boost pipes, polished inlet and charge pipe, refurbed wheels, n249 delete, badger5 stage 1 milltek non res cat back and all the other stuff like poly bushes etc. I love it by the way, such different delivery of the power compared to my pd150. Not such a fan of the fuel consumption though, but I bought it as I was bored so I shall not moan!
