What diameter end is the allards pipe that supposingly goes into the red turbo pipe??

47mm.

I have no reducers at all, the red pipe may fit over the pancake replacement pipe but I need to stretch it over there.......I just got it on but it popped off again as I was wiggling it on further......

Need to give my fingers a rest lol.......

Oh ok, i thought you couldnt get it over and it was too small full stop lol, the sfs replacement turbo outlet pipe is 50mm and is a much bigger size if you ever think about replacing the red pipe in the future mate ;)

Unfortunately they are shut on a Sunday lol? Try washing up liquid to wedge it on, then jubilee clip it up tight, it should go on if you've nearly got it on ;)

I refuse to believe your having problems with the pancake pipe replacement ;) :D
I used the sfs turbo pipe but had to do alot of cutting and general f*cking about to make it all suit.

If the SFS turbo hose is exactly the same shape as the stock hose it should be a piece of cake.....

Mine all lined up fine, just impossible to fit a smaller hose over a larger diameter ally hose.

MJ - Did you have any problems fitting the turbo side billet connector in? Im just reading MKIV's forum and a lad bought the turbo replacement pipe and said the billet connector wouldnt go in cos the o-ring was stopping it..?

I hope SFS can send me one out straight away, I hate having no car :(

The sfs one was the same sort of shape but larger diameter, i think i mentioned it before - my allards pancake pipe was a lot smaller at the turbo end. Yes i had to hammer and squeeze the billet connector in with waterpump pliers, from what i can remember BRAD1 also had the same problem with his.

Chris, don't give up, I hate people who only do half a job :p lol, get it over, you know you wanna :) get one side over, then use a flat head and wedge the other side on while someone holds the otherside in place ;) I've managed to get a 51mm hose over a 60mm pipe, it was tight but done it ;)

I probably could get it over, but now i've seen the stock turbo pipe end I'm defo up for a SFS replacement.......that turbo end looks extrememly restrictive.....

I dont like to bodge, I can wait for SFS to send me a larger one. :)

Well I think sfs will make you wait about a week, as they make them to order, they don't make a stock of them, get it on, I wanna see it all fitted :)

when I fit my Allard kit the pancake pipe was too small, would have needed some king or reducer I think. I know that there are 2 different size outlets from our intercoolers, the SEAT Spoert ones on the PD150 are bigger.

I dunno what to suggest mate.

Are you running the standard PD150 intercooler?

If so, this is what i am ordering for my Allards kit.

This has a bore size of 50mm, and my Allards pancake turbo end has a 47mm, so should be fine! :)

I have that pipe already, it is the pipe out of the intercooler into the pancake pipe. The SFS pancake is a flat metal unit. This pipe goes into the inlet side (drivers side) of the intercooler, pancake pipe connects to it and them the red pipe up to the turbo. Its kinda like a 3 pipece kit from intercooler to turbo.

I have the Seat Sport intercooler with the larger inlet/outlet. Its the cooler that is good for 300bhp.

I think your getting mixed up m8.

The top pipe in that pic is pipe #4 - drivers side intercooler to pancake pipe.
The bottom pipe in that pic is turbo side of pancake pipe, alot smaller billet connectors.

Gotcha. I have the smaller pipe (the one at the top of the pic) that comes straight out of the intercooler and connects directly to the standard pancake pipe.

I have not upgraded my pancake pipe so only needed hose 4 (the smaller one).

I did think thought that SFS were doing a metal replacement - when Anthony at SFS trailled his parts on my car he said that it was going to be a metal one
