Where's it rubbing??

17X7 is pretty weak really, I know the wheel arches aren't massive but those wheels aren't very big.

Can you not pull/roll the arches instead of buying a new set of wheels??

Cupra rims are 7Jx17H2 ET 41 5x100 with 205/40 ZR17

They fit with no rubbing. So yes a bit more offset would help. The Cupra rims are odd because of the AP calipers being too far out but that will not affect you.

I belive my JR11's are 7.5J, 17" ET 40
I run 205/40/17 on them, haven't lowered it but I shouldn't rub once I do since I know someone runs almost the same set-up as me and he doesn't rub either.
