Guides

There are various guides in the different model sections. I know in the mk3 section, theres adam1.4ibiza's amp install guide, ibiza125's £5 ipod connector guide, my induction kit guide, etc. Which all get lost in the section, wouldn't it be better if these guides were moved into the FAQ section for the relevent model? As it will then make it a lot easier to find.

So how come when I put the induction kit guide up it was moved to the main mk3 section, and all the other guides that people make are left to 'dissapear'?

If you want I could go through finding all the guides and send them to you or another admin/mod to move?

Hi yeah i am new here but have come across from Club323f.com the Mazda 323F forum.

though i am new here i found something very usefull from the 323F site, A guide section where people can post guides with text and pictures on how to do various modifications, take things apart, replace components etc.

It was a page on their main site called guides where you could push the model of your car like toledo mk1 or mk2 and another section for toledo mk3. Under these sections all guides made could be listed for easy access and for other people to gather some inspiration for a mod they might like?

is there anything like this out there? I am looking for a guide on installing and AUX cable or DVD player cable stuff like that.

Perhaps it would be better to have a FAQ and Guides sub-forum for each of the different sections eg: ibiza mk1, ibiza mk2 ect, rather than just a general guides section which tends to get overlooked by most people. It might also encorage more people to produce such guides if there was a dedicated place for them where the users they were aimed at would have them readily available?

Agree,

I dont want to totally style my car or anything but a few modifications is always in order and guides can always help inspire. I could also be reagding mechanical stuff.

Agree though with the section.

Guides will usually be put into the FAQ section if a moderator thinks they have merit, or if members comment that the guide is good enough to be in the FAQs.

It's a bit presumptious to post a thread in the FAQ's section with some approval. (The moderators spend too much time moving threads out of the FAQs because they have no place there.)

As an example. I did a Mk1 leon coilover fitting guide and a CV joint guide (both referred to quite frequently). Neither are in the Mk1 Leon FAQs because it's not up to me, the OP, to say so...... :)
