A very simple mod, cheap and appealing
Images were taken from another site for referencing

What you need:-
Ref: 1K0 915 336 B (back cover)
Ref: 1K0 915 335 C (front cover)
Ref: 1K0 915 443 A (Top cover)

Volkswagen Codes so you need to order them from your local dealer, go to the parts department.
Total cost: 13.64

Tools:-
Err if you want to keep your hands clean use gloves (I didn’t)
Socket Wrench
Time:-
5-10mins

What you need to do?

1.) Disconnect the battery first (confirmed by myself you will not need the keycode for the radio afterwards works fine)

Note* you will need loosen the bolt on the left hand side of the battery which keeps it in secure.

2.) Lift the battery out and remove the existing cover.
3.) Assemble the new cover I don’t think it matters which order you fit it in but I did like this. “Back > Front > Battery > Top”

note* before fitting the front slot feed the cable in before you slot it down I think the image will make more sense than explaining.

4.) Put the battery back in and reconnect. (Make sure to tighten up the bolt to secure it) a socket will do the trick!

And that’s it a simple mod which all Leons should of had in the beginning.

There's no F in Quality..
David @ Seremotors was going to sort out availability/prices, but it looks like the parts are VW/Skoda only, and can't be sourced from a Seat dealer :(

Anyone know a friendly VW/Skoda dealer who can do a deal on the 'kit' ?!? ;)

Popped into my local (ish) dealer today to order these and two out of the three parts are sourced direct from SEAT but the front has to be ordered in from VW or the gods above. Go figure!

In his own words - its not a SEAT part, but we can get it for you. :)

I would call them first before going because they need to order aswell can't see it being any cheaper than 13.64...

is this part a generic volkswagen part for the battery box?

i just rung up the VW dealers in warrington to enquire about it and when i quoted the ref code, they said

Ref: 1K0 915 336 B (back cover) - golf back bumper trim
Ref: 1K0 915 335 C (front cover) - golf back bumper trim
Ref: 1K0 915 443 A (Top cover) - unknown

is there something that needs to be said or am i missing something.. lol

I get 10% on any TPS parts with my CGti Discount ;)

should be here in morning, and the £15.xx is £13.64 plus VAT

So your saying this plastic battery cover can be ordered from Seat as it came on the Ecomotive models as standard.

Il ask the question with Dave from Seremotors.
