Thanks for the idea mate I got the bits for this mod yesterday, will be fitting tomorrow. It should of come as standard from the factory...........

Hello !

I'v got a Leon Cupra R 2011 (2.0T) and i'm intressted of gettin g rid of the uggly cloth battery cover and replacing it with a new plastic.
But i'm afraid of what could happend when the battery gets unplugged, what about all error messages, alarm, and so on ?
Do you have to unplugg the battery or can i cut the old cover with a scissor and put the new plastic on (i mean there is no bottom, just two side panels and a top) ?

Just unplug battery, change covers and plug battery back in.


Didnt even need the Radio Code, A Few error lights came up, a quick drive and they all go

yeah my ESP light came on saying error but went off 5m down road, actually wanted to take it out and see how different it felt if it didnt work oh well.

Okey if the error dissapers after a few minutes of driving it sounds great.
But is there any problems with unplugg the battery for the software that has been configuered for my car (more hp) ?

i wont lie to you robin, that was one of my more immediate concerns, if my software had been reset my car would be looking for a dpf that just isnt there, i did wonder if i would at some point just self combust however its been a week or so since i did it and many miles covered, my map is still on thats for sure.

I do know of a rumour that if you reset the battery with a revo map that it resets itself but is easy to turn back on.

I just ordered these parts at my local SEAT dealer today. Should have them tomorrow. Should look good next to my modified engine cover thats over the P-Flo intake

I don't understand SEAT's logic here. My 2010 MY11 Ecomotive SE came with the proper plastic cover from the factory. So how come they don't fit one on their exclusive top-of-the-range model!?
