there is also a couple of differences between the TDI 90 and 110 bhp engine. it shares the same crankshaft and crankshaft bearings and conrods but the conrod shell bearing and pistons are different part numbers.

Absolutely top work micky!!! This is what is meant by 'being useful to the community'

So the only difference between 150, 130 and 160 is the turbo and IC??
Cool,,, another point to remember when someone questions if it's better to buy a 130 or a 160,,,

And then the only difference between the 110 and the 90 [the vnt one] are the conrod bearings and the pistons?

the 130, 150 and 160 are one of the same boiler. just the turbo and intercooler differences.

do you know the engine code for the VNT 90? not sure it was the VNT 90 i compared. yeah it seems different piston part numbers and conrod bearings, conrods the same though. according to elsa the 110 has harder wearing shell bearings.

well, don't know the code for the VNTed 90hp but you can look: if it hasn't the N75 or the turbo looks clearly a wastegate, then it ain't a VNT [ obviously!]

ha resurected big time! as it appears most of the bay is similar on the 130-160... pd160 turbo a straight bolt onto the 130? would asume the smic would get owned with the 160 turbo though? *hunts down a rear ended cupra* hah

Sorry for saying that, but there are some mistakes in your listings.

Water pump Is not the same on all PD engines, the ARL/BPX/BUK engines have a slightly bigger water pump. It wont fit into the block.
And because of that also the block differs on those engines, not only because of the water pump, also the strength of casting is better on the engines with 150/160 hp.

And to answer the last question: Yes, the turbo from Ibiza Cupra and Leon Cupra (Garrett GT1749VB will plug and play bolt on to 130hp Engine.
