I noticed that the front right (passenger side) wheel arch liner has these cutouts that look like air vents for an intercooler, even tough my car doesn't have one (ibiza 6l 1,4 BBY) . Is it a good idea to cover it up so dirt and water doesn't splash into the engine bay? They are tilted downwards to reduce water and dirt spray but I feel like this was just a cost saving move from SEAT so they didn't have to make different liners for the same model.
Is it any good idea to maybe cover this up to reduce water ingress in the engine bay and electronics?
