My neice is over from Sweden for the weekend & I noticed My FR has airbags for the rear seats. Do you need to turn these off when fitting a childs seat or is it ok ? I know the passenger airbag can be turned off.
No you don't. I have the rear airbags and asked the dealer the saem question. All airbags in the rear are side airbags, the reason the front passenger is disabled is because it deploys directly into the baby seat, crushing the seat and baby.

Cheers for that. Hada good read of the manual & no mention of diarming the side airbags so looks like it should be ok. The airbags are very close to the headrest of the baby seat. I didn't realise the side airbags only inflate during "certain side impacts" !
