Hi. I know this has been discussed before many times, so apologies, I just haven't found exact answer at the moment!
My bonnet release handle felt slightly slack when pulling it this afternoon. The bonnet popped fine, but it won't settle back down easily when put down again. I've greased the mechanism but I think it needs a good clean, then greased again. The handle however, just feels less resistant when pulled & the whole mechanism is not performing as it should. The cable seems tight, but I haven't removed it to look at it closely. I've left the bonnet resting as I don't want it to be stuck. An additional bit if info, i think someone has tampered with the pull through the grill as I've noticed the plastic bit on end snapped off & was fine before. Any advice how to tighten it back up or replace would be great. Cheers.
