So 8 years of my larger than average frame have not been kind to the drivers seat, leaving the outer bolster and base foam worse for wear. I picked up a nice condition replacement today, will aim to get this in once my my new spline socket set arrives (never lend tools, never get them back).
Yeah, quite a common occurrence with EBC pads apparently.
The Brembo's I have aren't sporty or anything, they are just very nice quality OE spec pads and discs, I find coupled with braided lines and fresh fluid they work nicely Brembo do sportier pads too, but obviously price increases. The driving I do I would class as 'fast-road' at most, so more than enough stopping power for that.
My OZ Racing's are looking a little tired and road-worn these days, so I've taken them off in preparation to have them refurbished.
And for now I'm rolling on some RS 17x7j rims I had in storage.
Got some other bits on order to continue the freshen up, hoping to have the new speakers and drivers seat in soon. The biggest obstacle I appear to have right now is the terrible state of the road causing me to keep getting my alignment checked etc.
The new bushes have really improved things, feels nice and tight and 'together' again. I will get round to getting the new coilovers on at some point as the old ones are a little softer but they are fine for now, my wallet has had enough of a battering recently from this car!
Cheers! I gave it a service the other day whilst I could borrow my mates ramps at his garage. Took the opportunity to wind the front coils down a little more, feels much more planted now and less 'lift' on hard acceleration. HAd a good look around underneath, apart from one original control arm starting to show it's age (I'll get it swapped in the next 12months), all looks fine under there.
That's great.....looks amazing for its age. I'm new to having a Seat and this site but have a 14 plate FR and just started doing some bits with it so getting the bug! Lowering is defo a key thing for the aesthetics alone can't believe how high they are!
