I've got a 2017 Leon fr 1.4 manual
Recently it's started the clutch pedal staying to the floor on an intermittent basis.
It's in the garage now. They say aftermarket duel mass flywheel unavailable anywhere! Looking at a 2k bill! Only done 41000 miles.
Might set it on fire! It's been a brilliant car so far.
Seat want £900 just for the part.

The clutch pedal staying on the floor - is a hydraulic problem - either clutch master or slave cylinder.
You don't have to change the dual mass flywheel and the clutch - people normally say "while you in there you might as well!" but if it's over £1000 for the parts - you might consider not doing it - especially as it only has 41k miles!

Which 1.4 engine is do you have?

Sorry to hear about you getting knocked off your bike, I hope you're not injured and the bike can be fixed without issue.

Regarding the Leon, The clutch pedal staying on the floor can only be the clutch mater or slave cylinder. To be honest, at 41k (depending who's owned it or its driving style), I wouldn't be changing the DMF or clutch at that sort of price. If it didn't make any knocking noises before when cold or when switching off, it could be ok for another 60k+ quite easily.

A clutch plate, or even a 3 piece sachs/valeo clutch kit (friction plate, pressure plate and release bearing) shouldn't cost a great deal ~£300, plus the actual route cause of the issue.

Have they already taken the gearbox off?

No it's sitting at a local clutch specialist.
I'm no mechanic so kinda at a loss!

I'm not sure what gearbox is used on the 150bhp version, but I cannot find a single 1.4 tsi 6 speed gearbox that has an internal slave cylinder.

The picture below is a 1.4tsi 6 speed Leon gearbox from a 2017 - so presumably the same as yours. I have circled the clutch slave cylinder in red. It's held in to the gearbox by 2 x 10mm bolts and a quick release clutch fluid line. It's just under the airbox and is ~1 hour labour to change and bleed. The gearbox, clutch and flywheel do not need to be removed if this is what your gearbox looks like.

Of course it could be the clutch master cylinder too, which is slightly more involved but nothing close to doing a clutch and flywheel!

Hope this helps with some information you can go back to the clutch specialist with. Maybe being a clutch specialist they want to change the clutch as thats their bread and butter?

So either CZDA or CZEA.

Seems like a few options for your flywheel: LUK or SACHS i'm sure would have a kit.

An update on my car. I've had a new clutch and duel mass flywheel done today. My local garage managed to finally source Lbc parts about a third of genuine parts. A right rough arse clutch specialist did the job £250 cash. I'm waiting for the bill for the parts. Hopefully sorted now.
