Been on the phone to all the major tuning companies and none have the ap coilovers for atleats 3/4 weeks. I'm goin the the ring in 4 wks and need to set my lcr up better than the standard roley poley set up. Any other coilovers you would use around the same price? Or uprate the dampers and springs? cheers

cheers

I have KW "street comfort" coilovers which are excellent...but not cheap. I thought I would try them since it was unlikely I would do track work otherwise I would have chosen the V3's which are fully adjustable

grey 225 what do you have the coilovers set to height wise? Are they quite firm? Do they stop the car from sitting down under hard acceleration?

that sits just right! How much is it lowered?

Not sure exactly, but the front and back wheel arches are 2cm from the tyres.

As for the ride, I've been in 2 cars (one a mk4 golf GTI) with KWs and there is NO difference at all between them and my setup. Of course that is my opinion, others may vary :D

For fast road use, the APs do the job great :)

It is set at 20mm and yes on country roads it is firm.It is more controlled over pot holes and the like though and not crashy like old set up.I knew it would be firm with coilovers and for me that wasnt a problem. For some it will be.
It has reduced rear end squat but also front end dive when the brakes are used hard, which in turn also makes the rear end more stable under braking.

For not much more the the AP but a lot better kit I'd say go for the Weitec Hicon GT's. Give me a shout if you'd like a price.

If your driving all the way to Nurburg ring with coilovers fitted you will hate them by the time you get there. I have KWV3's and just did a long trip with a wife with a sore back, we both decided then that we need a new car for family/long trips ASAP as the LCR is no longer suitable.
But you sound like you've done the normal thing and want coilovers not matter what.
Hope these suit your driving day in day out. They should be good for the track but would have suggested you changed the ARB and strutt braces first but not many people take heed of this info
