Thanks Ollie, yes I think I prefer it to the black one and they are the only two colours around. I'm sure it will be easier than black to keep looking nice. Looking forward to it. I've been watching videos on which settings to use for the hybrid system and regeneration etc but I'm sure I'll get it once I use the car

Hi, yes. I got straight back onto them when I had taken the black one back on Tuesday. They've been very good to say that I had paid them a deposit originally and then changed my mind and bought local. They are a 5 hour round trip for travel plus the time I'm there. They were busy handing over other cars until today (Sunday) so I'm going one day next week for it, well to look at it and bring it home if it's ok. It should be, I've never had one as bad as the black one. It was registered in November 2020 so they are servicing it as well as it's coming up to 1 year

Thanks both of you. I've just been speaking to them. I can't make it there on Friday so it's collection on Sunday at the moment

Hi Pinky, Yes I did. It is in lovely condition and I'm really pleased with it. I didn't take any pics etc when I got home as I had been out nearly 7 hours collecting it. Thanks for asking. I must say, the colour looked quite dark when I first saw it but looked lighter in the sun later.
It's November 2020 registered with 6k miles. I asked about it's first service (I know it wasn't quite due yet) but they have serviced it early for me so I can use the 2 services included for year 2 and 3 which I'm pleased about.

Yes, the saleswoman left me outside with it to have a good look around. She had charged it for me as well, unlike the one I collected before.

I am pleased you got it and it was in good condition .
Enjoy it .
Thanks Pinky. I'll give it a good clean and protect probably tomorrow and put some pics up.
The floor mats were plain so I asked why it didn't have the Cupra ones in. I probably wouldn't have noticed but with driving the other Cupra last week, that one had the ones with the copper Cupra wording and stitching. She apologised and said that they should have been changed and brought a new set out.
I said that I had seen a couple of scuffs on the sideskirts but as it wasn't a new car, I would just polish them out when I got home. I'm realistic and the fact it was about £11k less than new, I didn't expect it to be brand new condition. She went inside and came out with the polish and polished them out for me and again, apologised saying it should have been done. I've bought about 40 cars now and it's the first time it's been a female salesperson. I wish that there were more of them. I don't want this to sound sexist or whatever but I've never had a salesman get down on his knees to polish some scuffs out like she did.
She had been great on the phone and I'd messed them about a bit by backing out of their car and buying local and then going back to them when the local one didn't work out. I had taken her some chocolates to say thanks so I was glad that I had given them to her. She was great.

TBF man or woman doesn’t matter Sarah, it sounds like a really great sales person looked after you and understands her customers. But I must admit my wife will only deal with female sales person due to past experiences. I don’t mind and if they are not up to scratch I soon throw a few “f’s” into them. Enjoy the new ride :cheers:

Glad to hear it Sarah - your description matches that of a used car I test drove a couple of weeks ago which was located in the Stockport Lookers branch. Got chatting to the lady working there who said a lady who had just rejected another vehicle bought it. Ringing true with your account of events here it seems?

Trust me if I had sold you the car I would have polished them out for you, then we would have gone to the valeter and both given him a kicking, although I always double checked my cars before handover, it is easy to miss something if they’re under pressure with a heavy work schedule.

Seriously?

On both occasions we have bought new vehicles from our local SEAT dealership, the cars have been presented perfectly; with the Leon, the sales guy even explained that they hadn't forgotten to peel off the protective plastic on the sill kick plates but had left it on deliberately so they wouldn't get scratched before handover. Always good to see attention to detail .

It is a November 2020 ex demo though so I didn't expect perfect. I'm very happy with it (y) I've expected them not to have a mark on when I've bought unregistered ones.
It got dirty today popping to the shops along country lanes, the farmers are leaving lots of mud on the roads so gave it a wash and a bit of protection this afternoon. I'm surprised how good the mpg is using it as a hybrid and not just electric. I didn't buy it for the mpg but it was a nice surprise.
