Drivers seat gradually sinking

The drivers seat in my wife's Altea FR has height adjustment.

When new it used to stay in place - now it gradually sinks back down so you end up like a munchkin.

Before I pull the seat apart does anyone know the solution?

Unfortunately that's what happens with age. I believe they are hydraulic you'll have to replace the seals and refill.

It is mechanical not hydraulic and can be replaced. I do not know he part number but have had mine done under waranty

sinking feeling

i know this is an old post but just in case anyone reads this, as you get in and out i bet you brush over the height adjust lever, each time you do this, the seat goes down just a little
