Has anyone considered changing to using an engine oils that claims to be API SP compliant yet?

Almost accidentally I have discovered that the latest formulation and so deliveries of Mobil One 5W-30 ESP show this compliance, though I’ve yet to buy any, or find any available new stocks.

In case someone reading this does not know, any/direct injection petrol cars can suffer from LSPI which can cause internal damage, if allowed to labour.

Someone has already posted on one of these VW Group forums about this issue, so I’m not trying to claim I’m the first, I’m just posting to see what others think about this issue and newer compliant engine oils, that is all.

Maybe also, has anyone discovered that at least Halfords and Opie Oils, do not suggest Mobil One 5w-30 ESP as an option when search using the reg of a May 2019 SEAT Leon Cupra, and if so can you say why this oil is not being listed as suitable for that specific car/engine?

THe Mobil Oils website lists it as being suitable for that car/engine, and the under bonnet label displays VW 504.

Edit:- my main interest on the availability of this rating of engine oil is for use in my wife’s 2015 VW Polo 1.2TSI 110PS, but as it looks like I’m about to change the oil in my daughter’s 2019 Leon Cupra, I was considering trying to buy and use that oil - I have been using Mobil One 5w-30 ESP in my 2011 S4 since 2014 and my wife’s 2015 Polo 1.2TSI since 2019 ie after both their warranties and service packages ran out.

Well Halfords were selling Mobil One 5W-30 ESP with some money off, so I bought 5 + 1 litres of that for the 2019 SEAT Leon Cupra, assuming that the money off deal was to aid flushing old stocks of the previous formulation which was not API SP compliant - but what I collected today was the newer formulation quoting API SP on the packaging, so that was okay!

I was in ECP collecting some parts, and noticed they had Mobil One 5W-30 ESP in a rack, the 5 litre containers were new stock so API SP compliant, the 1 litre containers were old stock so API SN compliant.
