I have been looking around but couldn't find a clear answer on this, what is the difference in RPM at 70 for a CR 170 vs a CR 140?
I really fancy a FR+ but as they are 170 only I don't fancy being stung again as we have an exeo 170 which goes well, but part of the going well is due to short gearing! This means that even on a good run I need to drive like a saint to get anywhere near 50mpg.. however we have also had a Golf GT, Scirocco GT and currently a Passat Spot all with the 140 CR engine fitted and all easily got in to the mid 50s to low 60s on a run and would be high 40s around town, which if a 140 leon FR will be the same would be better even though there's a few less toys.
All my other 140s would be around 1800 rpm at 70mph, so what does a leon FR 170 and 140 do?
Cheers
