Error Code 17916 - Idle Sys.Learned Value Upper Limit Attained

Hi Guys,

Just done a quick scan on a work colleagues car as she said there was a warning light on. Albeit the warning light wasnt connected to this, the following code came up:

17916 - Idle Sys.Learned Value Upper Limit Attained
P1508 - 35-10 - Intermittent

Any ideas what this is, and whether its something that needs seeing? I've cleared the code for the time being

Hi Bruce, thanks for the reply.

I noticed that entry in the wiki earlier but the error message wasnt exactly the same so didnt know if the same problem/possible solves would be the same. Gonna give the air filter change a try, plus Bill has given me some words of wisdom which I'm going to try as well.

I would look for obstructions in the air path. Something come loose and get lodged in there?

I've have a butchers today, see if I can find anything. The car had well below the minimum amount of coolant in it, so wouldn't be surprised to find a rather clogged air filter
