Foldy Wing mirrors

Hi all
I did the most stupid thing the other day and I'm ashamed to say it really...I took my LC to a car wash!

Problem is, I forgot to fold the mirrors in and the B*##%Y thing pushed the nearside mirror in. When I realised what was happening I folded the mirrors in ASAP.

Now the problem starts the next day at work...as usual I fold the mirrors in because of the numpties who park next to me, but when I left for work to come home the mirrors would not open up! Adjustments can still be made to the mirror glass...I have had the switch to bits and it doesn't seem that worn inside but I'm stumped as to what to try next.
Need to get them fixed before someone at work uses them as target practice.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I've searched the forum and most of the threads talk about replacing them rather than how to fix them.
Cheers

Fold the mirrors in & turn the switch to the fold pos , disconnect the battery for 10 mins . Reconnect the battery & give it a try & make sure u have ur radio code :)

Oooh I could crush a grape!

Wasn't trying to be flippant or unfriendly but I searched for the very same subject just the week before and got the procedure to sort the mirrors out in the first few results.

No worries mate, just having a laugh!

The threads containing the info didn't work for my mirrors so I did what flares said and it worked...now my stereo code wont be accepted and there are quite a few threads on that that I've tried, but to no avail but you have to wait about an hour before you can try again!

Same problem for me: removed inner door card to add a few bits of Dynamat, disconnected everything, when I put it back the mirrors won't unfold (they were to fully folded position). Pulled the switch, fitted it back, still they don't unfold. Knob works 100% perfect to adjust them but folding/unfolding doesn't work. I'll go out to try the disconnnecting procedure

Later Edit: it works :)

I have got the same problem with my mirrors and have tried everything suggested here, however the boot open warning light is now constantly on and now i can not lock my car without the alrm going off. Is it all in the same circuitry or just a coincedence.
Is there a way of locking the doors without the alarm being activated
