Hi,

I have a 01259 code from VCDS which is pointing me to a faulty fuel pump relay, I have a Leon 1.4Tsi 2008 model, I have the following relays, 2 x 460, 2 x 449, 2 x 373 and 2 x 395, can anyone tell me which one is for the fuel pump relay? I've blown a lot of fuses trying to diagnose which one it is.

Thanks, yep not really giving me much. looks like older version, its mad that they don't have this anywhere. I've been trawling the net for weeks hoping for a seat leon guru to save me. Thanks though for the reply.

I've done a little research( I'm on nights) and I'm fairly confident your fuel pump relay/s are 449. They will have 2 sets of 2 pins rotated 90vdegrees from each other and ofcourse 449 on them :)
I would suggest going through the other relays to establish thier function.
Download a handbook or get a Haynes manual and see what relays should exist.
They will click as they operate and you can identify thier function.
Relays are dirt cheap around 2 for a tenner or less.

I'm unsure why you would be blowing fuses if your relay is dead, it's just a switch so something may be amiss after the relay and the relay died because of it

Feeling less confident as the night went on I pulled the manual out of the car, which id forgot was there and it says none of those in the photo are the fuel relay.
The row above the photo has the only mention of a fuel pump relay in position 2.

The fsi doesn't seem to have a relay outside of the fuel pump control unit and that is on a short loom not plugged into the relay area.
I can't help but feel I've added to the confusion 🤷

Thanks for this, I was noticing the fuel pump was staying on for 5 to 10 minutes after turning off the engine. This could be part of it. Ill have a play around with the relays and see if incan get anywhere with those. Appreciate your reply.
