I have a longstanding battery drain issue for which I suspect the SAI circuit. If the SAI pump is left connected, battery discharges at least once a week. With the SAI pump disconnected, the issue did not occur for more than a year. (The battery drained again within days of reconnecting the pump).
I am wondering if the SAI relay is faulty and leaking current. Obviously the relay would be 'live' when the ignition is off. Looking in the Haynes I cannot see any details about a relay for the SAI pump, or associated circuitry. Does anyone have any information?
