Glow Plugs

Stupid Question I know but if I change only 3 glow plugs and leave an old one in will it cause me any problems.

Was installing new glow plugs today but having done 3 I noticed the 4th one had a knackered thread so need to pick up a new one from the shop tommrow. Just not sure what will happen if I start the car ???

thought so the old ones I removed look a mess a bit of soot but not sure onf the whiteish depost on the tips bit strange.

Trying google now to find any pictures to tell me what it could mean

Well I did shrink it by 1/4 of its original size allready

Fuji Finepix s5500 4MP it does the job

it's just that my sony won't get closer to anything withou losing focus,,, the macro function seem not to be working,,,
probably is just a **** camera,,,

the macro function on th s5500 is brilliant but getting the distance right is always a pain I've got a small basic tripod that I got free from some magazine and it works great
