Hi guys! I'm a fellow Enthusiast. Have had a few Leon's over the years. My 1st being the car that got me hooked on Seat Leon's! I'm also mechanical contractor to trade.

Have worked for various Prestige Manufacturers & Dealerships within UK , Aston Martin, Gaydon. Bentley, Crewe, JLR Landover Solihull, Jaguar, Castle Bromwich, BMW Mini, Oxford. Worked in Kuwait for U.S. Army fixing countless Humvee's, LMTV'S, PLS'S, Track Vehicles (Tanks) and any other variety of sh!te with an engine and plant they could find broken needing fixed lol. Done the same as above, again for the U.S.Army in Afghanistan and Italy.

And done some local work for garages and friends around my city as and when I or they wanted in my very early years....before I knew it was better to work for myself working contracts 😉

Leon's I've owned.

1st ... MK1 Leon Cupra 1.8t (Grey)
2nd ... MK1 Leon Cupra 1.8t (Black) Stage 2 Mapped 230hp
3rd ... MK2 Leon FR TFSi (previous owner mapped 300bhp apparently! To be proved. Have my own plans after the success of recent rebuild)

Currantly still the owner of the last 2.

Built up my MK1 then landed my MK2 ... Which wasn't running correctly. After much tinkering to get it right... Ended up completely strippinb the TFSi engine. And a FULL top to bottom rebuild later....she's running like she should! Just dropped the Millars Comp Running in Oil after 5k run in.

And topped with some fresh Castrol Edge 10w60 racing lube and a bottle of LiquiMolly Createc to make a lovely mix of high performing and protecting fresh blood!

P.S. I know many will have a comment and a view on oil and whats the correct for these engines. 5w30 ... Yeah, if that's what works for you and your happy to run on this, then that's your prerogative. I've used many different lubes in my time and run what I feel is best.

These engines are multigrade engines. Including the 1.8t and the 2.0TFSi ( I have and AUQ and CCZB engines) and can promise you I've had no issues with this grade in either.

My main reason for choosing this grade is....when under extreme temperatures when giving the car abuse. I want my engine oil to stay in grade as best possible. And I find these thinner oils actually loose their viscosity and film strength. Which imo is really very bad news. An already very thin oil, gets even thinner, which can cause issues for oil pressure. Which as we all know, no oil pressure or low oil pressure, will just cause nothing but wear and quite possibly catastrophic engine failure.

Last thing I will add. Those who say, oh it's far to thick for cold start up and cold weather.

I live in Scotland. It's plenty cold here most of the time, and in winter can be very cold. And my 1.8t has survived countless cold starts. Is on 112k don't use a drop of oil. The TFSi is now getting a taste for the colder weather and it's starting without issues on this grade.

Sorry, not want to sound confrontational here. Especially so early on in my introduction, but I know the issues oil conversation can cause 😂

So just want to shut that one down as quick possible.

Happy to give information of experience using this. But please don't tell me I'm wrong and don't know what I'm doing.

Have a photographic step by step of the TFSi build I plan on putting together soon for those interested.

Thanks and look forward to reading and sharing.

Rhys
