i know what you mean but i just fancied something completely different. I have always had turbo'd cars and just wanted a big N/A v8. As soon as i drove the merc that was it sold total silence and comfort when cruising and when you plant it the power and noise is unbelievable

The spec in the link say's "Displacement, cc 3996 " ????????

not sure why that is but it's really 5439 cc

very nice motor, bit of a old man's car !!!!!!!!

it is an old mans car! and I'm only 26 but old men have been there and done it all and settled for cars like this, and after driving it i can see why;)

its ok, but not my sort of thing. But i do like watching the barges go up the thames so maybe i will like it after a while.

I don't envy the service repair costs or even worse the fuel costs though.

running costs and parts are stupidly dear but its the same with all amg's.

slight upgrade there karl!
I take it youre not going to hold onto it for too long, you'll just get used to the power and the direct debit you'll need to set up for fuel. :D

no im planning to keep it. Its not the easiest car to sell anyway
But the fuel is shocking around the town anyway. £10 only gets me 35-40 miles
