Is it a golf. Is it a polo, is it a MK2 facelift....

After much comparison with Polos I found myself wondering why the Beeza is altogether a bigger beasty.
So I did some googling, and apparently the MK3 Ibiza was known as the MK2 Facelift everywhere other than the UK and uses the floorplan from the mk3 Golf which shared it with the polo.
So thats why it seems a bit big for a polo clone?
Oh and does anyone agree that the mk4 Ibiza is a step backwards stylewise?
Yeah I know it might be slim consolation for the electrics, but the MK3 is the best looking Beeza!

Mk3 Ibiza isn't the same floorpan as a Mk3 Golf, nor is the polo the same.

You're right that the UK is unique in calling it the Mk3 Ibiza, but then Europe should be calling it the Mk2 Facelift Facelift as they already did it in 1996, from the original 1993 design

I thought the mk3 was a combination of the golf and polo floorplan? And style wise between mk3/4 - When I had mk mk3 I thought it was far better than the mk4. Now Ive got a mk4, I seem to have changed my mind lol.

Yeah, the Mk3 is massively out dated in so many ways compared to a modern car.

I imagine the Mk4 is a more refined car and has less 'issues' but I do think the mk3 has the better looks.

But I might change my mind if I get a mk4 lol

i agree on the looks of the mk3 is the best, well kinda...still love the back end of the MK2

its just that black strip between the back lights, looks cool haha
