Cheers Fl@pper your a Gent as always, im still stumped on if mine is actually gone......it looks like there's two slithers of honey come in mine.

Suj, sorry about my lack of communication regarding the CAT mate. Im knee deep in dissertation at the moment, researching structural blocks made out of earth is eating all my time :(

The ABS is really pissing me off, there's a problem with the wire going to the rear right sensor. I think its at the main plug end hence pulling it all out so I can have a better go at it.

I keep thinking about just scrapping it, but all the time I've put into it would just be a waste.

No problem mate, oh yeah half day Friday

How are you gonna test the abs loom? Literally putting current through, testing the other sides?

Now you've pulled all the abs wiring you may as well just dump the lot I reckon. Would require sourcing a few parts from a non-abs car. But in the long run it will be better for a track car.

Yes Suj, will put my multi-meter on it while manipulating the wires. I know theres a break in the front right wire which I did a repair on but its the random intermitant rear right thats the 'B' word.

Would be interesting to see how much work is in removing the lot, i like the ABS but it would remove the head ache. I would need a non-ABS Ibiza with rear disks, did they even make one?

I have loads of interior bits taking up valuble garage space to donate, if you want them

Yes - mine! Pretty sure its just the plumbing thats different my rear brake set up is visually identical to a car with ABS.

What interior did the car have? Is it standard 8v GTi?

Its not too bad, got quite a bit of room to open the passenger side door. It'l go in front ways when its sorted, I don't like the idea of fumes backing into the garage as its integral.

Cheers Damien, think I seen the first one but not the second. I wish it was running so I could book up another day, it will be the end of the season by the time I have it out again :(
