When logging lambda what am i actually looking out for, readings wise?

On a 4th gear run.....

3600...0.977,1.000
4040...0.961,1.000
4480...0.938,0.930
4880...0.875,0.891
5240...0.836,0.860
5600...0.844,0.852
5920...0.860,0.852
6240...0.821,0.852
6480...0.805,0.852
6720...0.836,0.852

How do i know if im running rich or lean and are results only meaningful on full throttle acceleration? What are both columns indicating?

Im sure ive read under full throttle you dont want to be seeing anything above 1.000? Is that right?

Also what are the upper limits of the CF range that you dont want to be seeing? Im getting a couple of 6.0's, is this too much timing advance?

Just for example...

5040...2.3,3.0,3.0,6.8
5240....3.0,1.8,1.8 ,6.0
5720....0.8,2.3,0.0,6.0
6000....0.8,1.5,3.0,6.0
6320....0.0,1.5,3.0,5.3
6560....0.0,1.5,3.0,5.3

Looks like cylinder 4 is doing a bit of work?

Cheers

Also, does it matter what gear you do the run for MAF readings? Will 3rd/5th gear be any different from a 4th gear run?

4th gear run

5000...197.03
5160...221.36
5520...224.08
5840...220.50
6080...216.61
6360...212.08
6560...208.75

you got one for boost as whilst the lambda was being logged?
actual vs request in columns

Your running 12.6:1 afr which is supposed to be best for power/torque, but you would'nt want to run any leaner as EGT's may be quite high unless you can measure them. (then increasing the the fueling to cool as req'd)

you got custom settings?
channel 10 can adjust for fuel trim up & down (across the whole rev band)

No, unfortunately mate i dont have that stretch of road i used to use:( Its a pain in the arse, as i need to travel around 12 miles to get to a decent straight now to do some testing:( I so want to move back up to N.Yorks:cry:

Cheers for the info, so between 0.85 and 0.95 is where maximum power is reached:) Any idea on why 2 columns showing though?

Yes Bill i do have custom settings, but im having problems getting it working at the moment. I have the serial port cable aswell, im just having problems connecting to ECU with the CC software. Vagcom is fine though:shrug:

I think it may be because im downloading the software onto my main computer, then transferring it to my laptop through means of a cd. On transferring it does say some information may be lost, so i really need to get my laptop hooked up to internet aswell. Im going back to CC on friday for some more logging with nitrous so ill figure it out then as to why its not communicating!

Bill, reference the jabba boost controller.......

Was the deviation between requested vs actual bypassed? On my old jabba map ecu was requesting 1.4bar at 6500rpm, turbo only producing 1.1 but yet no limp mode. (Do you know how much limit there is aswell before going to limp if requested vs actual do not match closely?)

This is a very good idea i think as if it does bypass, it always means that your map is 1 step ahead of you, thus getting the best from your turbo when modifying further.
Unfortunately though CC software doesn't utilise it:(

I miss the JS controller.. it was well handy. Shame CC does'nt work with it.

the 2 columns are actual lambda and ecu requested (expected)

You do need to have a richer than normal afr if boosting high on sustained loads... as on high boost you also have egt's to consider and fuel is then a coolant. Its a balancing act

Looks OK to me since the actual is tracking the requested fairly well. Of course, the next question is whether it's chipped and do you trust the tuner to have spec'd the requested values properly? ;-)
