I need a new one of these (large central bottom grille) as a golf ball went through it on the way home from Westec at the end of last year.

I assume the bumper has to come off to do this?

I'd like to give fitting it myself ago to save on labour charges but really don't want to bite of more than I can chew.

Don't know about the LCR but I replaced part of the honeycomb grille on my LC recently (admittedly not central part) with minimum of hassle - there were a couple of screws easily accessible without removing the bumper, took less than 5 minutes.

Take a closer look and you may find it's a piece of cake.

Matt,
I need to replace the centre lower panel of the honeycomb grille on my 53 LC TDi
What holds it in? It looks as though it's held in with clips
