hey was happily boosting yesterday,and thena pop!
checkedmy intercooler pipes and they are al fine. thought it must be my TIP, so put that back on, and drove home.

reset my battery for about an hour whilst i was refitting my TIP and.
then startedmy car again to find the tractioncontrol light came straight back on and its limited to 6psi :(
anyone know why?i've checked all pipes and vacuum pipes.

also idling is rough, it drops the revs too low and then builds themback up again.

just hada service a couple of days ago, and everything was changed, plugs, liquids etc.

i dont have VAG-COM, butdoes anyone have an idea what i can checkfor please?

it feels okay to drive, but dont want to risk it . thanks

i'm gonna dothe MAF test in a bit by unplugging it. if its a new MAF, do youhave to unscrew the old one, or do you get the casing as well?
anyone got a rough price fromthe stealers please :p

my lcr did this few months ago, unplugged the maf and hey presto ran smoother. took it to steelers and showed the mechanic, who agreed, they replaced the maf under warranty and now all is well touch wood. good luck

possible coil pack failure then matey. you might need to get vag com on the case. however in my last car i replaced everything bar the maf when this happened. wish i'd changed the maf anyway. as u no these cars go thru mafs and coil packs at an alarming rate.

sometimes mine pushes the coil packs up just enough to cause misfire try pushing them all done tight and dont rule out possible spark plug failure even if there new.

just pulled each coilpack out at a time and they all affected the engine, so must be working fine. disconnecting the maf seemed to make no difference. anyone else have any ideas? :(

even idles properly and boosts fine now!

:lol::funk:

i'm very very happy! just ordered a coilpack as well.. oops lol
