maintenance required (144.000km)

Hello everyone

I don't understand, I had my oil changed at 137,000 km with oil filter, fuel filter
, air filter and cabin filter at 137,000 km.

more with vcds, i did a service reset (button reset vcds)

But I see now at 144,000 km maintenance required? .... oil is a long life
Why now?

Ah there are two counters running one on time and the other on oil viscosity. There is the plan one which is time, year or two years if long life service, then the one that interjects on how it's measuring the viscosity of the oil. The onscreen buttons give you some information. Generally, people argue with the screen if they are on long life service, but the car detects it needs a service based on use. Perhaps the oil is a bit thicker than expected . I know my brother hit this issue when he sloshed any old oil in his BMW for topping up and the car caught him out.
