I thought I should start a progress thread to keep you guys informed whats happening with my Ibiza

Picked this 2000 1.6 Sport up last weekend

Its standard bar cupra badges and powerflow middle and back zorst which gives it a really nice tone.

So got some bits for it last week,

Osram night breaker bulbs
new left old right

Hard to tell from the pic but they are much better.

Next up were some Aero wipers (Bosch Aerotwin retro fit)

after
DSC00871.jpg

They are such a good buy, clear the screen so well!

Then yesterday I gave it a semi-good clean, needs a proper paint clean but it will do for now

Just love driving this thing! So much better than the diesel Golf I had before!

More updates as new bits arrive!

Also on the paint correction, I think Im going to leave it as I think some bits may have been resprayed, so it would look worse. May get the car resprayed in the future though. At the moment, the fading is pretty constant accross the whole car so its not too bad

Yea I'm thinking along the same lines regarding the paint, after a wash it looks good anyway and the fading isn't too noticable so I think I'll leave it for now.

Got them from Justmatz, took about 3 weeks for them to come.

Not been going well over the past few days, the blowy exhaust is getting worse, the new air temp sensor doesnt work and my pass side window broke today (think its the regulator) :(

Just before Xmas too :(

Also the gearknob had a inch long bit of plastic which had lost its colour, so it turned yellow of course!

lookin pretty good mate, noticed you've got the honeycomb grills aswell, did they come on it??? have you noticed any difference with the air filter then??

ive found the cone on ebay, but dont know what you mean by the adapter for the maf?? (i dont really have any knowledge of how to do things myself, hence the tons of questions!)

daymo, didnt notice your other question, with the cone filter it definately picks up a lot quicker, would say it makes acceleration a bit quicker too. Its not really loud unless you have a intake pipe directing air onto the cone and you have your foot flat down.

O and good news, its going into the garage on monday to have the CV joints done, which is also my Xmas present from my parents!

Got the car fixed, my mechanic said the n/s CV joint literally fell apart as he took it off!

Good news about the CV fella :)! Looks nice and tidy. Get another cold air feed straight into the middle of the cone  look forward to seeing it... eventually lol
