Rear ride height

Hi all. Around a few days ago needed new rear springs fitted as old ones were badly corroded.
Car now seems to be higher at the rear by about half inch roughly...it's noticeably higher than the front.
I had a look online but couldn't find much about it on specific car.
I thought maybe it's a bit early if springs need to settle?
Anyone else experienced this?
Mechanic is certain they are the correct springs.
It's a cupra only. Not cupra R.

The following is a cut'n'paste from somewhere, so I can't attribute the original poster.

The distances that Elsawin gives are wheel center to wheel arch, vertical.
This should be 381mm front, 375mm rear for a Sports suspension setup.
The Cupra R (which has different hardware at the front) has settings of 371mm front, 375mm rear.

I feel this would be pushing your luck with a TDI engine, as their sumps are significantly lower than on a petrol car

so 375mm looks likely for the Cupra

If your search engine will search within quotation marks, you might find the original site.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll see how it measures to the spec you mentioned. I'm hoping it's my old ones that sagged and maybe these drop slightly over a few more miles.
Otherwise it's trying to tell the mechanic he's wrong 😕 and the hassle of swapping over again, hoping it's right again.
Or I learn to live with it...

When I bought my LCR it had its arse in the air because they'd fitted the wrong springs. So it can happen.

The KYB catalogue doesn't have any models for sports suspension for some unknown reason, but I can see how a mechanic would put the RH5535 springs onto a Cupra.

Thanks for your help. Looks like the LC is tricky to get the correct ones for now.
It's like it's being erased from history and now only the LCR is recognised.
What a pain...I doubt I can return the wrong ones now as there'll be a discrepancy as they'll just say that it said for cupra when they ordered them.
Not looking forward to this....

Bit of info from elsawin, at least for a 2003 Leon.
If the PR code is there on the white build label under the boot carpet, then that will reduce the guesswork.
It's printed with cute pdf, so the page tabbing is all awry, but the info is there.

I'll try these. Thanks alot for your input and everyone else's responses.
Just one of those quirks you get with aftermarket parts.
No one's fault.
