remap or revo select serial port switches?

hi,
t
ive decided to go for more power but dont know which is best way to do it? is a revo remap or the serial port switches the best way to do it? whats the advantages and disadvantages or both? which should i go for? the cost is big difference?

There is not that much difference between the revo method and a generic map from somebody like jabba. Depends on you really and the condition of your engine particularly the turbo. 190hp on the 150 pd is right on the limit of what the 1749v can produce. Mine let go after covering 20k on a map which produced 190hp and 365lbft, rr proven. The clutch slipped badly too. Not putting you of a remap or revo converstion here, but you need to factor in the other bits that may become neccesary, particularly if you are already looking at which method id the cheapest. Just saying be careful and make sure you allow for the inevitable. I did not and it ending up costing me for a new turbo and clurch which was about £1500 fitted.:wave:

It's not one or the other, I'm afraid. The switches are a method of adjusting certain parameters of the map, but you still need to have had the Revo remap for the switch to work with. The switches do not work in the same way as, say, a Bluefin unit.

o right thanks for the feedback... ive had trouble with my turbo before is not worth doing it then?
