I posted last week clicking noise from valve on Heater box , well taken car today to VW Audi Seat specialist , Who after looking at it confirmed flap motor/Valve was faulty
After them checking the workshop manual they said its a dash out job . £1500 to do . They said the crash bar is blocking valve/motor

So its with great sadness the car has got to go . they say its a two day job to fix it and they cant say it wont go back the same
So if anyone knows anyone in the Essex Area that can do this. please let me go before the car has to go . I've been offered £9,800 for it with 44K miles on it

I think I would get a second opinion, though never done a flap motor on my Leon, or even try the fix yourself? Get your phone in there and record video with the light on to see your access.
Often garages will say they need the dash out to remove the heater matrix which is false. You can see the heater matrix in the image below with the two pipes coming off it.
I don't know which servo motor you have the problem with (1, 2 or 3)? and this image is for LHD cars as the round blower motor is on the left in (my) RHD Leon but you get the idea.

It's a good idea as preventative maintenance to cycle all the servo flaps every so often as the can get stuck in one position when never used which then breaks the gear drive.

MK7 Golf same platform as Leon - with same air distribution unit.

The workshop repair times I can see below also indicate this isn't a 'major' job!
Remove/refit the air recirculation flap actuator 0.80h
Renew the air recirculation flap actuator 0.80h
Remove/refit the temperature flap actuator 0.70h
Renew the temperature flap actuator 0.70h

vs
Remove/refit the air-conditioning evaporator 5.30h!

Looks like I have the same issue on my 2014 RHD Leon ST.

Started to get the clicking noise a few days ago. Done some research which pointed to the recirculate flap motor, and I thought that doesn't look too difficult. Turns out that all the instructions I could find were for Left Hand Drive cars or earlier models.

I started to strip my dash to gain access, but after many frustrating hours, I think I'm going to have to admit defeat. The following page from a similar Golf platform says I have to "Remove dash panel central tube"...

And judging by the following page, that is the whole dash coming out...

That is way beyond my comfort zone, so think I'll just put everything back together and live with the clicking (Only 20 seconds or so when starting the car).

It's going to make a big dent in any resale value further down the line, but simply not worth spending £1500+ on such a small issue.

Just another example of idiotic cost over practicality design. Very annoying.
