Right I know all the windows are meant to go down when you unlock the car twice. But recently mine have been going down after just turning the key once. Doesn't matter how slow or careful I do it, they all go down. Which is a real PITA in the rain and wind!!

I know this can be switched off via VAGcom, but is there any other quick fix as the nearest guy to me is a good 3 hour drive that I know of!

Any help appreciated!

The windows go down when you hold the key in the unlock position not operating it twice.

If yours are going down when you unlock I would think either the key barrel is sticking or there is a fault with the door catch/lock unit and the microswitch for unlock is staying on.

Ah my bad, maybe I'm thinking of the key fob for those with remote locking?

That sounds likely enough then, the lock has felt very stiff since that cold snap. Must get some WD40 after work tomorrow and see if I can loosen things up.
