Hi all

Pick up my Cupra tomorrow and need to look at getting a car phone kit for it (Mk1 Cupra).

Was having a look at if there were any self install options, preferably one that won't look messy with wires everywhere.

Saw the THB Bury Take and Talk which is listed as self install. It also has a 'no holes' docking point, not sure about messy wires though.

Saw a post on the bury 9060 http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=196301&highlight=phone but really want one which you can see the phone from as I have GPS on it.

Any experiences/opinions?

Cheers!

The parrot ones work with just a small visible dial - right?

Are there any which have a mount so I can see my mobile phone screen?

Also as my phone is my GPS and it uses bluetooth to hook up to the reciever not sure if there would be an issue with more than one bluetooth device?

I'd go parrot and then get a dash mount for your phone.

Fair enough suggestion and potenitally good comprimise.

Any suggestions for decent dash mount (preferably not screw in). Also are there any issues with having a bluetooth phone connected to both the parrot and a gps receiver?

if you have powersave on, you can only connect to one device at a time. If not, and if you have a HUUUUUUGE phone battery, or an in car charger, won't be a prob.

For mobile holders that don't screw in, how about one of these or one of these like I've got.

I need to remove the bracket now as I have a cigarette lighter holder/charger for my Nokia which maybe another option for you if they do one for your mobile?

I fitted my parrot 3100 to my Mk1 the other day, very little mess and a very good phone kit, used to have a nokia ck7w in my escort and it was terrible. My only problem is getting the sticky pad to stick to the dashboard as I have it mounted to the dash under centre vent near the heater switch with the wires going through the blanked plate.

I've never tried having my handset connected to 2 bluetooth devices at a time but oj 89 seems to have already answered that. There is a chance it may be phone specific though so might be something you would need to try

iI have the Bury talk in mine adn its coming out... why... well you have to press the button the phone in order to answer any call. Which when the phone is in my gym bag in the boot is annoying because it rings through the speakers and is not what i call subtle ring tone!

Gonna go with the Kenwood double din head unit with Bluetooth and sat nav... as it comes with a wired microphone

only one problem its about 500-600 quid

I've fitted a SONY Bluetooth head unit with auto answer set on the phone this just mutes the radio and the call comes through your stereo speakers. HU cost me £150 instead of over £200 as it was last years model ;)

I have built in bluetooth to my HU as well. Only thing is I havent got my phone book on my HU, so have to use voicedial or the phone to make calls. Set the HU to auto answer so thats no problem.

I saw these when I was looking up the parrot kits for my friend. If I was buying a parrot kit i would probably get this one because of the ipod connection, but my parrot was free so made do with it and its great.
