As i was driving on very wet roads i accidentally knocked the key with my knee and switched the engine off. I realised why the car died and just turned the key back on while i was still rolling and off I went again. However the TPM light stayed on. I pulled over stopped the engine but it was still on when i restarted. Having checked the tyres visually and by touch I then tried resetting it by pressing my button. When i press the button the light blinks off but comes back on and does not give the audible noise of setting.
I haven't been able to actually check the pressures but surely even if they are wrong I should be able to clear the warning by resetting it? The manual suggests that a flashing light indicates a fault but it constantly on.
I will try checking with an airline then resetting but I really don't think that will solve it.
The fact I turned the key off makes me think it might be an electrical fault now, should I mention this to the dealer or will it then be my fault?
Couldn't find posts that helped but will keep searching.
