Hey man, de-badged the car yet? Haven't seen any pics of it. It's a good mod, and the pre-facelift badging on the boot doesn't look that good. Not only that, but it's a free mod to do.
Nah mate, still not debadged but think i might do that soon. My camera broke but mate has got some pics for me that he said he'd upload soon so should be up in a day or two!

Did you paint the red badge yourself or can you buy them?
Last time i tried painting a spare one i had, it looked like **** haha
I got my dad to do it lol, he used some paint he has, think it was acrylic or somthing and just wiped it off it went on the main chrome part before it set , i'll find out when he gets back the exact paint he used lol.
Notice the bit below the badge that looks like red tape, i had slight incident and hit a wall and tried touching it up with Halfords flash red but it isn't a perfect match so think ill need to get the colour mixed properly

I've got my flip key, changed the transponder from my spare and done almost everything including getting the key cut but for some reason i cant programme it to the car so i am unable to use the remote buttons, i was wondering if anyone could help:
My standard key that came with the car is:
433 MHZ / 5FA 007 680
The flip key (which i cant connect to the car) is:
433 MHZ / HLO 1JO 959 753 A
..but then it has another code saying:
5FA 8137-00
So basically is this key compatible?

I think the bumper might be emocian red because they dont do flash red on the facelift's do they? So it could need a respray but it was only £60 and needs the bottom fog light vents, here's the pic:

Yeah i had to cut the old key up because it was covered in glue but got it out in one piece and i presume it works as i can drive the car with the flip key without any problems it's just the remote that won't play ball!

im sure its needs programmed to the car once the chip is in.....can be done through a series of procedures using the car im sure.

It hasn't got an LED on the key but when i went to get it cut the man tested it to see if it was giving off signal and he said it was, and i've tried that coding method about ten times! It says that the horn should sound but it doesn't so thats why im thinking it might be incompatible.
I checked the flip key info thread though anbd people have used the same key serial number on other MK4 pre-facelifts so i'm stuck
