Warning symbol

Hello,

Hope everyone is well.

Appreciate I may find this in the manual, however my partner has the car!

Sometimes when driving (hills, straight roads etc) we get a red warning light on the dashboard. I believe it is the front assist (the car in a circle with the star), but will turn red and make an audible noise.

Does this sometimes alarm when someone pulls out in front of us etc or is it likely to be a fault? (Basically I don’t want to take it to the dealership for them to say it’s perfectly normal to alarm when there’s an emergency!)

Thanks
James

Does it take up the majority of the display? It’s warning you that it thinks you’re going to crash into something. Get used to it ;)

Thanks for the reply!

No not really, it’s just a small symbol (same size as when you first turn the car on and the egg timer appears). It’s strange as sometimes I have been driving normally with no danger (I.e straight line with no vehicles around etc).

Try this one..... Should only happen if someone pulls out on you and the car thinks you may hit it. I'd certainly be concearned if it happens and there is nothing else on the road. Have had it happen in my old A3 before when swerving around a car turning left, or coming up fast to a car that is slowing at a junction but never when the road is clear.
