I'm hoping your answers will help me to make the right discussions on upgrades before getting on the track. I'm planning to do some track days this year, I am new to driving on track.. that's worth stating. I've been on track a couple of times during supercar experience days, but I'm aware a proper track day is quite different and I'm aware I'll have alot to learn.

If it matters what track.. Castle Coombe, Wiltshire is my nearest and what I'm bound to learn first.

I'd love to hear some of your opinions on the following; bearing in mind value for money ( so not going too overkill I guess ) and as a novice learning on track.

What is ESSENTIAL for driving on track, even as a beginner ? Specifics for my car would be amazing.

What is PREFFERABLE but not essential, if I could afford it ?

Seat Leon Cupra 2007 2.0 TFSI. I don't know exact specs of my car as the mods were done before I bought the car and I don't have documentation for the mods. From what I can work out it's the following:

Stage 1 remap running 300bhp (safe map, Compression test done & dyno'd at Surrey Rolling Road), Michelin Pilot Super Sport 4's all round, front & rear MTEC drilled & grooved discs, Mtec front brake pads & Brembo rear brake pads, brake calipers and lines however are OEM. Coilovers, spacers, Custom exhuast & intake. Stock intercooler, but temps have never been a problem when on a spirited drive.

Drew, I can't help at all but any chance you could drop some photos as your motor sounds pretty good mate!

If you've fitted coilovers have you had a full alignment done?

You don't need any of that stuff to get on track, so long as the engine is in good health and nothing is obviously worn or broken you're good to go.
