what to expect from future infotainment updates

With the current shift towards continuous software updates (trend started by apple and tesla), what do we expect from Seat/Cupra/VW?

Is there a shared strategy for the infotainment/OS for the long haul, or do we expect to see updates stop in 1-2 years? Do they even use the same OS under-the-hood?

A good indication is probably to look at what's available in the top-end Audi's etc. The lower brands in the VAG range such as Cupra etc typically lag a year or so behind those. However given the absolute **** show that the Formentor infotainment system seems to be, I'd much prefer them to spend time fixing what currently doesn't work rather than adding more broken stuff we hardly ever use.
