Wind noise

Barnstaple or thereabouts
So our Arona had to go in for its first checkup after we bought it.
We had a list of concerns

One was wind noise from around the windscreen

After the inspection we have been told that this is a known feature for Aronas and there's nothing to be done.

They spoke about a noise in the headlining. That suggests to me that noise is going up the A pillar in some way and not through a hole around the glass

Is a wind noise normal for an Arona?

If so, can you let us know what the source is and how it manifests itself so we can be fully informed before we pick the car up tomorrow?

Thanks

In our 2019 Arona no wind noise. I did have a Altea once which generated wind noise from the mirrors at 60mph and above. It became a known issue. There was a vortex being generated inside the mirror and door. An air leak through the mirror into the skin of the car. They subsequently made a fix available to dealers, pieces of foam that went inside the mirror. I bought my own and fitted them taking off the mirrors. On the Altea thread.

Could be something similar if they have changed the design of the mirrors or left something out (a baffle).
